On July 17 I'm running in my second marathon (this time in Antigua, Guatemala) for the Organization for Youth Empowerment, a non-governmental organization that provides at-risk Honduran youth with educational opportunities, leadership training, and chances to develop their creative, writing, journalistic, and athletic abilities. If you're interested in supporting the cause (which you know you are...), read on!

WE FINISHED THE MARATHON! GO OYE!!!
FINISHED THE RACE!
We had several incredible runners and cheerers supporting OYE (Ana Luisa Ahern, Demetri “Mechie” Lopez, Hadith Alvarado, llyoani Ochoa and Fabi Oro – two OYE scholars -, and volunteers Riley Leonard, Coty Mayo, and Jackie Krizovenski). Together we survived the hottest, sweatiest, and hilliest race I’ve ever run in my life but all in the name of OYE! Thanks to all of the supporters who helped us all raise over $6000 for the amazing cause that is OYE. Donations are still coming in, which we are so grateful for. All contributions are still more than welcome, and you can keep updated on what is going on at OYE on our blog.
Thanks again to all of you for following and for your support - it all added up to a truly significant result. You are amazing!
Un fuerte abrazo de luz!
Michael
